The Grand Priory of Spain is officially linked (through the Bishopric of Málaga) to The Fraternity of the Our Father Jesus El Cautivo (The Captive), Santa Marta, San Lázaro and María of Bethany in Marbella. This year the Fraternity made the new pedestal for Our Father Jesus El Cautivo and offered us a space on the pedestal to place our cross. The Fraternity also added a new banner with the Cross of our Order embroidered and the image of Saint Lazarus.
The inclusion of the Order’s cross on the new pedestal and the embroidered banner with the Cross and Saint Lazarus symbolize not just historical continuity but also living faith in action. The connection through the Bishopric of Málaga adds a layer of official recognition, anchoring the relationship in the broader ecclesiastical framework.
The Fraternity has it’s base in the church of La Encarnacion in Marbella and processions on Holy Tuesday in Marbella preceded by the dames and knights of the Order.
